There are three ways to register for the conference and workshop:
  1. All three days of the RTSRE Conference (Monday through the Wednesday night banquet)
  2. All four days - the RTSRE Conference plus the Case Study Workshop on Thursday including both the Wednesday and Thursday night banquets
  3. Single Day registration for any specific day Monday through Thursday without the banquets.

Here is the overall schedule:

  • Sunday, June 18 - Reception  - open to all attendees from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Hacienda Hotel
  • Monday, June 19 - RTSRE Conference, Day 1 - Robotic Telescopes
  • Tuesday, June 20 - RTSRE Conference, Day 2 - Student Research
  • Wednesday, June 21 - RTSRE Conference, Day 3 - Education plus evening banquet
  • Thursday, June 22 - Case Study Workshop - there will be a Dutch Treat dinner afterward.

Robotic Telescopes, Student Research and Education Conference

Conference and Workshop registration fees pay for the Sunday Evening Welcome Reception, morning and afternoon refreshments, and of course meeting facilities. Banquet tickets are included in the General Registrations and not in the Day Registrations. If you need additional Banquet tickets for Wednesday or Thursday night, please add them to your order below. If you stay at the Hacienda Hotel, your room rate includes a free breakfast. There are many local restaurants for your other meals.

The conference will be held at the Hacienda Hotel on Old Town in San Diego.We have secured a special room rate of $169 + tax per night for conference attendees. The rate includes a breakfast buffet daily as well free shuttle service to the airport and train stations. If you are unable to book at the Hacienda, there are other nearby hotels within a short walking distance and a trolley station for going further afield.

You and or your spouse may want a break while visiting. The conference and hotel are in the middle of Old Town, San Diego, a state park and tourist village celebrating the founding of San Diego, the first community in California. There are numerous shops, restaurants and simple sites to see within steps of the hotel for those short breaks.

For going further afield in your free time or for your spouse, there are several transportation and entertainment opportunities that will be posted here soon. It's easy to get to world famous sites such as the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, the Midway Museum, the San Diego Maritime Museum, and many more. A hop - on - hop - off trolley starts a block away for those who want to tour the city.

Tuesday afternoon will be free for a couple special tour options for attendees - more to follow..
